At Millennium, safety is our top priority. Just as we want our employees to return home safe after every shift of work, we are equally as passionate about promoting safe practices within the community in which we operate.

This fall, Millennium welcomed the Longview Fire Department as they filmed a training video on vessel stability. The bulk carrier unloading at the Millennium dock served as the perfect backdrop for the Fire Department to point out key safety focus areas and issues when approaching an onboard incident.

The Daily News featured a story on the training video, which can be found here. The video will be shared with 13 agencies making up the Maritime Fire Safety Association, which includes the Longview Fire Department, Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue and firefighting units from Portland to Astoria.
