In May, the volunteer and career firefighters of Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue, Longview Fire Department and Cowlitz 6 participated in an extensive two-day training at the Millennium site.

The training, put on by Puyallup Extrication Team, allowed crews to practice car rescues using advanced hydraulic cutting tools.

According to The Daily News, the event took three months to plan, and was supported by funds received by Cowlitz 2 in 2013.

As residents of Cowlitz County, the Millennium team is proud to support the brave men and women who comprise our local fire and rescue services. We take pride in contributing to the meaningful activities all around our region that make our community safer and more prosperous.
