Giving Back to the Local Community

Here at Millennium, we care about our community; we know that our responsibility doesn’t end at our property line. Our involvement extends to the schools our kids attend, the parks where we play and the neighborhoods that we call home.

One of the values we share with the Cowlitz County community is supporting education. We recently supported the Longview Public Schools “Outdoor School” program, which takes local sixth graders to a day camp at Wake Robin. Millennium has also committed support to the SEMI High Tech U program that will be held in May for local high school students.

Over the past year, we’ve also donated our time and resources to those in need. Last spring, we partnered with other local organizations to gather paint and supplies for a clean-up at Riverside Park, near Kelso. We spent the day painting and power washing the park’s restrooms and roofing park facilities, picking up garbage, and clearing brush.

We’re also proud of our role in organizing donations of furniture and other items to local groups and individuals in need. Our property’s previous owners accumulated a large amount of furniture and household supplies stored in warehouses around the site. To make sure these materials went to good use, we donated furniture to women’s and other community groups, and we opened the warehouse to veterans and their families—offering them a chance to take whatever they needed to furnish their homes.

We’re giving back to the community because we know we’re all stronger when we work together. We’re going to continue working hard to ensure we are a part of the Longview community for the long haul.
